Job summary

Cemstone is seeking a skilled service technician to repair heavy-duty trucks and related equipment in our Minnesota operations. You will diagnose faults, service hydraulic systems, wiring, steering, brakes, and perform welding and fabrication as required.

Qualifications

• Two-year college or technical school or six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
• Ability to understand written instructions and repair manuals.
• DOT inspector training certificate available upon request.

Responsibilities

• Read job order and observe truck operation to plan work procedures.
• Diagnose and repair/replace parts and components such as transmission, engines, rear axles, gear boxes and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and hydraulic components of equipment.
• Repair steering and brake systems and service trucks and related equipment.
• Weld components and fabricate parts as needed for repair.
• Operate cutting torch and gas welding equipment; use shop tools safely.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and coworkers.
