Job summary
Ross Express in Boscawen, NH is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment. The role requires a valid driver’s license, DOT physical, and the ability to document repairs accurately.
The position offers a 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday schedule and a competitive hourly wage. The ideal candidate has 2 years of tractor/trailer inspection experience or a related technical school degree, plus a CDL, ASE, or inspection certification is preferred but
Qualifications
- Two years of verifiable experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair, or a technical school degree with related studies.
- A valid state-issued driver’s license is required.
- Must pass DOT physical and drug screen.
- CDL, ASE and state/federal inspection certifications are preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs fleet equipment safely and correctly.
- Performs preventive maintenance and overhauls as needed.
- Maintains accurate work orders and documents repairs.
- Maintains a safe, clean, compliant work environment.
- Communicates equipment needs and safety concerns to management.
- Entrusts with planning work using manuals and experience.
- Operates and inspects mechanical equipment to diagnose defects.
