• 1 year experience with a 2-year technical degree or 3 years in fleet maintenance.
• ASE Certification (Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty) required.

Job Summary

Assist Fleet Technicians in providing safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicles by performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs, diagnosing issues, and preventing breakdowns to enhance fleet reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct maintenance repairs including inspections, scheduled repairs, and road-call repairs, diagnosing causes and performing repairs per manufacturer specifications.
• Document all work performed using Work Orders (SAP).
• Develop proficiency in all maintenance-related Sysco computer programs.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training (2-year school)

Experience

• 1 year experience with a 2-year technical degree or 3 years in fleet maintenance and repair

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

• ASE Certification (Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty)
• Valid Driver's License; CDL-A preferred
• Annual Inspector Certification
• Brake Inspector Certification

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of vehicle systems and components
• Skill in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems
• Welding and cutting skills (gas, electric, MIG, TIG)
• Experience with OEM diagnostic software

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, walk, handle tools, reach, talk, hear, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
