Job summary

Blanchard Machinery is seeking a Shop Technician II to perform maintenance and repairs on CAT and allied equipment under supervision. You’ll gain hands-on experience through on-the-job training and classroom instruction while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires basic mechanical knowledge, ability to read electrical/hydraulic schematics, and use diagnostic tools such as Cat ET and CAT-SIS. Shift work may be required, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of diesel equipment maintenance and repair experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics and manuals.
• Must be able to operate safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel-powered equipment.
• Perform inspections and tests to ensure proper operation.
• Prepare parts requisitions, timecards, and accurate service reports.
• Install/replace repair parts and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Operate lifting devices and adhere to safety policies.
