Job summary

DEUTZ Corporation in Texas seeks a Shop Service Technician to perform preventive and routine repairs on DEUTZ and non-DEUTZ products at the Power Center facility. You will liaise with customers, Parts Specialists, and the Service supervisor, upholding safety, reliability, and a customer-focused mindset.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of diesel engine experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• 0–2 years diesel engine experience preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer functions and portable diagnostic tools.
• Preferred: knowledge of DEUTZ diesel engines.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing NG/CNG, emissions level preferred.
• Certification/training in heavy equipment and diesel engine repairs preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine repairs on DEUTZ and non-DEUTZ products.
• Liaise with customers, Parts Specialists, and Service supervisor.
• Plan methods and sequence of repairs assigned.
• Pre-Order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs.
• Effect the repairs required safely and effectively.
• Ensure repairs are completed as assigned.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition.
• All communications with customers are conducted reflecting respect and honesty.
• Complete all work orders and time sheets in a timely manner.
• Consult with DEUTZ Service Department to ensure accuracy and approval of repairs.
