Job summary

FWG Solutions is seeking a Propulsion Mechanic to oversee operation, maintenance and repair of diesel engines and related systems supporting the Navy LCAC program on base.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of diesel/marine engine experience, Navy EN-A-School, and an active Secret clearance, with proven ability to manage maintenance tasks and ensure safety and compliance. Qualifications

• High School Degree required.
• Navy EN-A-School or equivalent required.
• 5–7 years of experience in diesel, marine engine, heavy equipment or mechanical maintenance.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• OEM diesel training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, remove, install and test all diesel engines and related support systems.
• Support diesel engine maintenance and repair requirements.
• Provide hands-on cleaning, inspections for all systems and report back accordingly.
• Assist broader mechanical repair workload as needed.
• Prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational needs, system readiness, and safety considerations.
• Manage scheduling and execution of preventative, corrective, and emergent maintenance activities.
• Implement and manage maintenance quality assurance practices to ensure conformance to standards.
• Evaluate performance, maintain accountability, and foster a culture of safety and high technical standards.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and mission focus across the team.
• Other duties as related to FWG Solutions.
