Job summary

Waste Management, Inc. (WM) is seeking a Diesel/CNG Mechanic in Clayton, IN. You will repair diesel and CNG trucks, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a 1:00 pm–10:00 pm second shift, no weekends.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Pre-employment drug screen and physical required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and parts.
• Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
