Title: Diesel Mechanic – Heavy-Duty Fleet Maintenance

Hourly Range: $26.53 - $33.16 per hour. New employees start at $26.53 per hour for the first 150 working days. Upon successful completion of the introductory period, employees advance to $33.16 per hour.

This is a hands‑on diesel mechanic role supporting a large, active fleet of heavy‑duty equipment. You will perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance that keep operations running safely and reliably. This is demanding work that requires mechanical expertise, accountability, and pride in workmanship.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair heavy‑duty diesel vehicles and equipment
• Perform engine, brake, hydraulic, electrical, and CNG system repairs
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections
• Document repairs and maintenance accurately
• Work safely in a fast‑paced maintenance environment

Pay & Schedule

• Hourly pay
• Most positions support night operations with 10–12 hour shifts common

Candidate Qualifications

• 2–3 years of heavy‑duty truck maintenance/repair experience
• Knowledge of CNG systems, brake systems (air & hydraulic), hydraulic ram systems, electrical systems, and general knowledge of heavy equipment repairs
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Previous experience in the refuse industry with diesel and A/C systems
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
