Job summary

Zūm is seeking a maintenance technician to keep our fleet of school buses in safe, reliable condition by diagnosing malfunctions and performing repairs in accordance with Federal, State, and local requirements and industry standards.

You will test-drive repaired vehicles, arrange required inspections, document time and parts, respond to on-road service calls, and maintain a safe, orderly work area. ASE certification is desirable but not required. We offer competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs on medium/heavy trucks and diesel equipment.
• Diagnostic, Electrical, and AC skills are required.
• Familiarity with diesel/gasoline systems and fleet maintenance.
• Possession of recommended minimum hand tools for a Diesel Technician.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs and related duties.
• Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs.
• Arrange inspections and obtain approvals for major repairs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work area.
