Job summary

Academy Busis in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking full-time Bus Mechanics Level A & B for our 2nd shift. Pay starts at $27.00 per hour with a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Every Friday is pay day!

Pay rate commences at $27.00 per hour and is commensurate with experience. The role includes diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining modern tour buses, performing inspections and road tests, and handling warranty documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of diesel engine maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to obtain CDL license.
• Experience with diesel diagnostic devices and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour buses.
• Reconditioning, preventative and routine maintenance.
• Inspections and road tests.
• Warranty and repair documentation.
• Respond to road calls.
• Basic welding/fabrication.

Academy Busis seeking full-timeBus Mechanics Level A & B for our Fort Lauderdale, FL location. $2500 sign on bonus. Every Friday is pay day!

Pay rate starting from $27.00 per hour. Pay rate commensurate with candidate experience level.

2nd shift.

• Repair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour buses
• Reconditioning, preventative and routine maintenance
• Inspections and road tests
• Warranty and repair documentation
• Diagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly andcleaning of components such as:brakes, suspension, tires,bearings, seals, radiators, water pumps, coolant hoses, alternators, regulators, steering components, oil/air filters, door assemblies, controls, seats, belts, electric motors, pneumatic valves, cables, and linkages.
• Respond to road calls
• Basic welding/fabrication
• Class B Mechanics will assistALevelMechanics with skilled workand train/supervise C Level Mechanics
• Class A Mechanics will train and supervise Mechanics and Cleaners.
• (A) 7+ years of diesel engine maintenance
• (A) Proficient in the use of diagnostic devices such as: DDEC readers, ATEC readers, SmarTire, schematics, AIC (Freon) recovery and charging equipment
• Proven ability to use hands tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment,and testing instruments
• Must have own tools according to level
• Valid driver's license
• Basic computer skills
• CDL License with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement is a plus but not required, willingness to obtain a CDL License is also desirable.
