Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Madison, WI is seeking a Diesel & Automotive Technician/Mechanic to service light to medium duty fleet vehicles. The role offers $40.00-$50.00 per hour with weekly pay and full benefits after 30 days, plus a potential bonus up to $5,000.

You’ll diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, document repairs, and maintain safety and compliance. Must have 5+ years of diesel/vehicle maintenance, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on diesel and automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to own and maintain personal tools for the role.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Willingness to meet physical demands of the job.
Able to pass pre-employment screenings (including DOT where required).

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance standards.
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
