Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc is seeking a warehouse/stock support role to ensure the timely availability and movement of materials and dies for carton production. You will monitor stock levels, stage materials, locate and distribute dies, and coordinate with production to minimize downtime.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, up to six months of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain a Level 2 forklift license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• About six months of work experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to obtain Level 2 forklift license.
• Basic arithmetic proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Maintain good attendance and reliability.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Job description

The Opportunity

The role provides stock and die support for the Carton Department by ensuring the timely availability, organization, and movement of materials and dies necessary to maintain efficient production operations. Responsible for monitoring stock levels, staging materials for production, locating and distributing dies as needed, and coordinating with production personnel to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Washes pans and other press tools
• Cycling waste gaylords
• Supplies carton presses with board stock
• Maintains supplies for presses (i.e., rags, solvents, etc.)
• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Performs other job duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed

• Preferred high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Preferred six months’ work experience.
• Must be able to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Must have ability to obtain Level 2 fork truck license, but doesn’t have to have a license already.
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
