Job summary

Nanshan America AAT LLC is seeking an Assistant Die Shop Manager to provide technical expertise for developing die shop employees and leading the die correction team in a aluminum extrusion facility in the United States.

The role supports the Die Shop Manager, evaluates prospective capabilities, and drives KPIs related to die reliability, safety, quality, delivery, and cost through leadership and process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
5–10 years of aluminum extrusion tool and die experience.
Proficient in MS Office and CAD experience.
EPICS MRP system experience preferred.
ISO manufacturing environment experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
2–3 years leading and coaching teams.

Responsibilities

Review new product tooling designs for feasibility and manufacturability issues.
Work with New Product Launch and Extrusion staff to ensure procurement of appropriate dies.
Source tooling suppliers for new tooling programs and for the repair of existing tools.
Conducts and manages testing and trials of new dies to ensure quality product.
Lead die shop staff and supervise the work of die correctors.
Identify opportunities for improvement of dies.
Conduct training of associates to facilitate career path and growth.
Works directly with team members and monitors project completion.
Trains team members on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
