The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in manufacturing or printing, with experience reading job jackets, using dies and tooling, and setting up Bobst foil stamping or Bobst/Heidelberg equipment. Hours are 11 AM to 7 PM.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or 1-2 years related manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with die setting, die cutting, foil stamping, or packaging equipment preferred.
  • Experience with Bobst or Heidelberg equipment is a strong plus.
  • Ability to read job jackets, layouts, and measurements.
  • Basic math and measurement skills using a ruler.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Set up dies for Bobst foil stamping equipment.
  • Set up tool sets for Bobst and Heidelberg die cutting equipment.
  • Review job jackets, layouts and specs to verify the setup meets requirements.
  • Gather dies, counters and related tooling for each job.
  • Plan die setups according to production schedules.
  • Enter job and setup data into the manufacturing tracking system.
  • Monitor equipment to ensure product quality and identify issues.
  • Perform quality checks against job specifications.
  • Troubleshoot setup issues and adjust as needed.
  • Assist machine operators with setup and production needs.
  • Communicate with operators, supervisors and production team.
  • Follow safety, quality and production procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area.

We are looking for a skilled Die Setter - Foil Stamping & Die Cutting to join our packaging manufacturing team. This hands-on position is responsible for setting up dies and tooling for foil stamping and die cutting equipment and ensuring jobs are properly prepared to meet quality and production requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a printing, packaging, converting, or manufacturing environment and understands how to read job specifications, work with dies and tooling, and make sure equipment is properly set up for production.

Experience with Bobst foil stamping equipment or Bobst/Heidelberg die cutting equipment is highly preferred. Candidates with related die-setting, die-cutting, press setup, or converting experience are encouraged to apply.

HOURS: 11 AM - 7 PM

About the Role

As our Die Setter, you will:

  • Set up dies for Bobst foil stamping equipment.
  • Set up tool sets for Bobst and Heidelberg die cutting equipment.
  • Review job jackets, layouts, and specifications to verify the setup will produce the required results.
  • Gather all necessary supplies and tooling for each job, including dies, counters, and related components.
  • Review production schedules and plan die setups according to job priorities.
  • Accurately enter job and setup information into the company's manufacturing/job tracking system.
  • Monitor equipment during production to ensure product quality and identify potential issues.
  • Perform quality checks to verify finished products meet job specifications.
  • Troubleshoot setup issues and make adjustments as needed.
  • Assist machine operators with setup and production-related needs.
  • Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and other members of the production team.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

About You:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years of related manufacturing, printing, packaging, or machine setup experience.
  • Previous experience with die setting, die cutting, foil stamping, printing, converting, or packaging equipment is preferred.
  • Experience with Bobst and/or Heidelberg equipment is a strong plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret job jackets, layouts, measurements, and basic written instructions.
  • Ability to use a ruler and accurately measure dimensions.
  • Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, and unit conversions.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to enter information accurately into manufacturing or production software.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions during equipment setup and production.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery and mechanical equipment.
