Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Die Setter to perform die/tool setup for stamping presses, CNC Amada equipment, and related tooling. The role focuses on ensuring parts meet specifications, performing adjustments, and delivering first-piece quality samples.

Ideal candidates will read blueprints, have strong mechanical aptitude, and be able to work safely in a high-volume environment with long standing periods.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints.
• Able to set up dies on manual and automatic presses.
• Proficient with calipers and QC gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove dies on presses per blueprints and data specifications.
• Align fixtures, synchronize conveyor speed and machine operation.
• Configure CNC brakes and shears and related tooling.
• Perform die/tool setup/changeover for stamping presses and progressive dies.
• Supply first-piece samples and measurements using calipers.
• Collaborate with die changeover team to diagnose and repair dies.
• Maintain housekeeping and complete required paperwork and records.
• Instruct standard work for setting dies on presses.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
