Job summary

Thai Summit America is seeking a 3rd Shift Die Setter to operate presses, set dies, and build automation tooling. This role includes crane and forklift operations (internally licensed), loading coils, inspecting quality, and participating in TPM activities to improve processes.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, at least one year of manufacturing and press operation experience, and basic ERP knowledge. You will be responsible for paperwork and safety compliance in a fast-paced metal stamping

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• 1 year press operation experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of quality systems and defect identification.
• Able to use an ERP system for shop floor data and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Complete inside/outside die changeovers using a crane.
• Set presses with dies and automation tooling.
• Load stamping dies onto press bolsters.
• Assist in building automation tooling.
• Offload coils from semi-trucks with coil grabber.
• Load aluminum/steel coils onto press lines.
• Maintain proper paperwork (CRRF, check-sheets, scrap records).
• Inspect cranes/forklifts and ensure licenses are valid.
• Maintain die storage areas and clean scrap basement.
• Uphold safety and housekeeping requirements daily.
• Participate in 5-S/TPM improvement activities.

3rd Shift - Die Setter

Primary Job Function:

Setting dies and various sized automation tooling, fork truck and crane operating (internally licensed), load/unload coils & sheet metal. Operation of the press line, racking of the parts produced, quality control, housekeeping and participation in TPM activities, forklift driving and metal rework of the parts. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed Management.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Complete inside/outside die changeovers using a crane.
• Set presses with dies and automation tooling.
• Load stamping dies onto press bolsters.
• Assist in building automation tooling.
• Offload coils from semi-trucks with coil grabber.
• Load aluminum/steel coils onto press lines.
• Maintain proper paperwork, e.g. CRRF, check-sheets, scrap room records, coil tracking, etc.
• Crane/Fork Truck inspection (licenses required)
• Maintain die storage areas and responsible to clean the scrap basement.
• Maintain housekeeping requirements to ensure a safe work environment.
• Participate in improvement activities using 5-S / TPM processes.
• Required to assist on productions lines when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of manufacturing experience.
• One year Press Operation experience preferred.
• General knowledge of quality systems.
• Able to identify sheet metal/aluminum defects.
• Basic knowledge using an ERP system.

• Ability to tolerate standing for 8 hours or more
