A leading plastics manufacturer is looking for an experienced Die Setter in Auburn Hills, MI. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all mold changes per production schedule.
• Ensure proper setup of die-related functions.
• Complete all required paperwork timely.
• Perform die insert changes as needed.
• Pull and reset all die halves for repairs.
• Load and unload die carrying trucks.
• Maintain orderly die storage.
• Order and arrange die setting supplies and remove them from molding machines.
• Initial shooting of all die sets where applicable.
• Ensure paperwork is completed, submitted, and filed timely.
• Follow OSHA and company safety rules and policies.

Job description

US Farathane is seeking an experienced Die Setter. The Die Setter is directly responsible for the machine set-ups including primary and secondary equipment both scheduled and unscheduled.

This role is on 2nd shift which runs 3:00pm - 11:00pm.

US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all mold changes done per the production schedule and all emergency mold changes.
• Responsible for the proper set-up of all die related functions such as watering of the die, knockout, hot runner set-up, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
• Responsible for repairing any fluid or air leaks relating to the die.
• Responsible for any and all die insert changes.
• Responsible for the pulling and resetting of all die halves specifically for the purpose of die repair.
• Responsible for the loading and unloading of all die carrying trucks.
• Responsible for maintaining the orderly appearance of all die storage.
• Responsible for the ordering of, and the orderly appearance of, all die setting supplies including the removal of all said supplies from the molding machine.
• Responsible for the initial shooting of all die sets where applicable.
• Responsible to ensure all paperwork is completed, submitted and filed in a timely manner.
• Responsible to follow all OSHA and safety rules and regulations.
• Responsible to follow all USF policies and procedures.
