Job summary

Molex is seeking a Die Project & Predictive Engineer to support new product development and advanced stamping. You will optimize designs for internal and vendor manufacturing, and collaborate with Product Engineering, Automation, and CSBU tooling teams worldwide.

You will review die designs, run DFMs, and use NX and related tools to drive quality and efficiency. A Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering plus 2–3 years of PDM experience are preferred, with travel to global plants.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a technical school program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the die and stamping industry.
  • Analytical skills to apply reasoning, test assumptions and correct results.
  • Willingness to interact with global plants and attend meetings in different time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Support CSBU tooling groups during design, debug, qualification and production phases.
  • Review high-speed carbide progressive die designs and perform DFM work.
  • Communicate concerns through DFMs and improve stamping technology and processes.
  • Utilize predictive stamping simulation and NX software.
  • Develop external resources to support new product development.
  • Contribute to TQM, Six Sigma, ISO and EH&S Management Systems.
  • Collaborate with Proof of Concept lab for DOEs, prototyping and die design.
  • Lead stamping projects specification and development, including automation lines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
