Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking a skilled Engineer for the Belleville, MI plant to support die design, tooling projects, PPAP, and process improvements. The role involves root-cause analysis, cross-functional teamwork, and ensuring manufacturing processes meet quality and cost goals.

Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with at least four years of hands-on experience in dies, stamping, and process optimization. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years related technical experience in engineering and building dies.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental strategic goals and measures.
• Improve efficiencies and throughput with other departments.
• Determine root cause of process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Solicit quotes for new tooling and support sourcing.
• Manage new tool projects from source to PPAP.
• Ensure quoted/produced parts are feasible and meet performance metrics.
• Lead die design, development, and testing.
• Interface with customers, contractors, and die shops.
• Document processing parameters and audit compliance.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives with detailed documentation.
• Communicate material concerns to Materials.
