Job summary

York Container Co in York PA is seeking an entry-level machine operator to assist the setup and running of our flatbed die cutting equipment, focusing on reducing downtime and setup times while ensuring a quality product is released to customers.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years of corrugated or related manufacturing experience, ability to read production orders, and basic tape measure skills. Work is in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years corrugated experience or related manufacturing industry preferred.
• Must be able to use a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and running of the flatbed die cutting machine and help minimize downtime.
• Limit scrap waste and tag waste for reporting to the proper department.
• Read and understand production orders for each run and support quality checks.
• Pack products for shipment as specified for each order.
• Follow lock out/tag out procedures and maintain production paperwork.
