Job summary

Diamond Packaging is seeking a Die Cutting Operator Assistant for a full-time role in Rochester, NY. You will assist in setting up jobs per tickets and ensure compliance with specifications, speed, and safety requirements on the line.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma/GED, have basic computer skills, can lift 40 lbs, and can stand for 8 hours. Overtime may be required; excellent benefits start on day one.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40lbs.
• Must be able to stand for a continuous 8 hour period.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, job tickets, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility is to assist in the set-up of job according to job ticket instruction and approved structure.
• Reviews job tickets for specifications, make-ready time, run speed, die information, quantity, ship date and any special instructions.
• Assist in the running of equipment at the required speeds while maintaining quality, waste and safety standards.
