Sheboygan Paper Box Company is seeking an experienced Die Cutter Pressman for the 2nd shift to set up, operate, and troubleshoot die cutting equipment in our folding carton department. The role requires reading tickets and charts, adjusting equipment for proper register and quality, and maintaining production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience setting up and operating die cutting equipment preferred, particularly Bobst die cutters.
• Folding carton or paperboard packaging manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, production instructions, die charts, and other technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with a sense of urgency in a production-driven environment.
• Die room or pre-make-ready experience is a plus but not required.

Aufgaben

• Set up, make ready, operate, and troubleshoot die cutting equipment to meet production requirements and customer specifications.
• Read and interpret factory tickets, die charts, work orders, and job specifications to ensure accurate job setup.
• Perform complete die cutter make-readies, including loading tooling, setting up feeders, striking in counter plates, and setting swords.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain proper register, cutting, and creasing throughout production runs.
• Perform die knicking according to company standards and job requirements.
• Monitor production runs, inspect finished product and production loads, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Identify and resolve equipment and production issues, communicating effectively with supervisors, leads, and die room personnel as needed.
• Complete required production paperwork, quality checks, and sample retention documentation accurately.
• Perform routine equipment upkeep and assist with maintenance activities to support reliable machine performance.
• Coordinate with other production departments to maintain an efficient workflow and meet production schedules.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality requirements, and company policies.
• Operate power industrial vehicles (PIVs) as required.
• Continue developing technical knowledge of folding carton manufacturing, die cutting processes, tooling, and carton construction.

Position Overview

Sheboygan Paper Box Company is seeking an experienced and mechanically inclined Die Cutter Pressman to join our Die Cutting Department. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting die cutting equipment to produce high-quality folding carton products that meet customer specifications and company standards.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of equipment performance and product quality, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with Bobst die cutters and folding carton manufacturing is highly desirable.
