Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a Die Cutter Operator for the 2nd shift to meet production goals with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. You will operate and maintain die cutter machinery, perform setups, calibrations, and routine maintenance while ensuring compliance with all safety standards.

The role requires 2-4 years of related experience, HS/GED, and ability to work Monday through Thursday, 3:00 pm – 1:00 am with possible overtime. Wage starts at $18.45 per hour plus shift differential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely sets up, operates, and monitors die cutter machinery to meet production goals.
• Completes machine setup for production runs, including loading materials and calibrating equipment.
• Inspects materials and equipment to ensure quality standards are met and quotas are achieved.
• Maintains accurate inventory and production records as required.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions and performs routine maintenance to keep machinery operational.
• Trains and guides machine assistants and new crew members.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the organization by operating and maintaining die cutter machinery used in the manufacturing process, in addition to, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Wage $18.45 + shift differential

2nd Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm - 1:00 am (Overtime as needed)

Essential Duties And Tasks

• Safley sets up, operates, and monitors die cutter machinery and equipment as intended and needed to meet customer and production goals.


• Completes die cutter machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.


• Monitors the production process, inspects and tests materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met.


• Verifies and tracks all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations.


• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.


• Trains and provides guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.


• Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.


• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety policies and reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.


• Completes all necessary documentation for internal or external use.


• Effectively works with other departments or team members, such as machine technicians, supervisors, and quality control inspectors, to coordinate production activities and address any potential issues as they arise.


• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education And Experience

• HS/GED required; HS/GED preferred


• 2-4 years' experience in a related field experience in a related field required.


• This position has no leadership duties.


• Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.


• Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.


• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
