Job summary

Phillips Staffing in Liberty, SC is seeking dedicated individuals for a Die Cast Machine Operator position on 2nd shift. You will operate a die casting machine to produce aluminum parts in a hot, fast-paced environment, following supervisor instructions for lubrication and control panel procedures.

Responsibilities include ladling aluminum, pouring into the shot sleeve, removing castings, and conducting quality checks. Overtime may be required; on-site work with safety gear is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
• Dress code includes Safety Glasses and Steel Toe, ESD shoes are required.
• High attention to safety in a hot manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a die casting machine to produce aluminum parts.
• Assist with die lubrication per supervisor instructions.
• Control panel operation on the die cast machine.
• Ladle aluminum from holding furnace using back ladle technique.
• Pour aluminum into shot sleeve and remove casting from machine.
• Check castings for defects and perform quality checks per the Control Plan.
• Place castings on conveyor and report any stuck castings.

We are seeking dedicated and organized individuals that can multi-task and follow directions for a Die Cast Machine Operator position located in Liberty, SC. The candidate should be able to work productively in a medium-to-fast paced HOT environment.

Responsibilities:

• This position involves operating a machine to produce aluminum die castings.
• Spraydieper supervisor’s instruction with die lubricate.
• Operates control panel on die cast machine.
• Ladle aluminum from holding furnace using back ladle technique.
• Pour aluminum into shot sleeve.
• Remove casting from machine.
• Check casting for defect, broke core, etc.and performs quality checks as required by Control Plan.
• Place casting on conveyor.
• Recognize stuck casting and report to set up personnel.

Requirements:

• Must be self-motivated
• Must be productive with the ability to work in a team environment
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work Overtime, as required
• Must follow the dress code: Safety Glasses and Steel Toe, ESD shoes are required, plant wide.
