• Complete required paperwork and maintain 5S of the die cast area.

Job Title: Die Cast OperatorSupervised By: Team LeaderResponsibility for directing others: NoneSummary of Position: This position is responsible for the operation of one or more automatic multiple-mold casting machines to mold aluminum automotive parts.Essential Job Duties:Operate one or more casting machinesSet controls, make machine adjustments, and align mold halves to ensure casting of part according to specified thicknessAdjust follow of lead to ladles and water to mold-cooling sprays.Assist or perform machine set ups and tool changes.Perform preventative maintenance and routine maintenance checks.Assist in changing or setting molds.Complete required paperwork.Frequently moves/lifts up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.Constantly position self to run/maintain die cast machinery (stooping, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling).Maintain 5S of multiple die cast machines.Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn in proper manner at all times.Ability to work varying shifts and overtime.Ability to read and write the English language.Withstand extreme temperatures (hot in summer, cold in winter).Must be able to move about in and around machinery and between lines.
