Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Hemodialysis Technician to support patient care and maintain HD equipment. In this role you will review water cultures, disinfect machines, and ensure readiness for procedures, while following safety protocols.

You will work closely with clinical engineering and vendors, perform daily water testing, and help with supply management to keep operations running smoothly. A background in acute care settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Vocational/technical training preferred.
• License in Clinical Hemodialysis Tech is required.
• 1–3 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Review results of monthly water cultures of all HD equipment and follow protocol for abnormal results.
• Daily disinfecting and weekly bleaching of machines.
• Maintain machines by updating clipboards, restocking supplies, and ensuring readiness.
• Assist with patient care including transfers, weight measurement, and monitoring equipment.
• Set up and monitor all hemodialysis equipment and monitor treatment.
• Collaborate with Clinical Engineering and vendors to maintain equipment.
• Perform daily water testing and complete equipment quality control checks.
• Manage supply par levels with materials management and evaluate new products.
