Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Stocks supplies and orders to maintain appropriate par levels.
• Prepares and maintains dialysis machines and equipment.
• Observes patient, monitors treatment parameters and vital signs, reports changes to RN.
• Assesses patient transport needs for dialysis sessions.
• Performs fingerstick blood sugars and ISTATS as directed.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

The Dialysis Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Stocks supplies, performs inventory and ordering of supplies to maintain appropriate par levels
• Prepares and maintains dialysis machines and equipment
• Observes patient, monitors and records treatment parameters, patient weight and vital signs and reports changes to RN
• Assesses patients for mode of transportation to and from dialysis (use of lift, Pal or wheelchair)
• Performs order entry, fingerstick blood sugars and ISTATS as directed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 60 days of hire
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).
