Job summary

Cone Health in Burlington, North Carolina is seeking a Dialysis Technician to support hemodialysis treatments and related clinical tasks. You will prepare treatment sets, monitor safety, maintain supplies, and document patient data under RN/LPN supervision.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs hemodialysis treatments including preparation, supply gathering, care organization, documentation, and reporting abnormal findings to the RN/LPN.
• Assists with daily department operations, prepares dialysis treatment set-up, performs safety checks, and assists with machine cleaning and turnover between patients.
• Collaborates with co-workers, manages resources efficiently, maintains supplies, and communicates effectively with the healthcare team and patients.
• Performs quality control monitoring of the hemodialysis water system and equipment, including documenting results, reporting deviations, and implementing appropriate strategies.
• Precepts new Dialysis Technicians, assists with orientation, and evaluates competency-based training.
• Provides preventative maintenance and minor equipment repair, reports unsafe conditions, and assists with machine repairs.
• Responds to emergencies, adheres to patient safety goals, uses appropriate safety devices, protects confidential information, and follows organizational policies and procedures.
• Performs clerical activities, assists with scheduling appointments, enters charges, maintains paperwork, and ensures inventory levels are adequate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

Experience:

• Required: 0 - 1 years of Nephrology experience to include Hemodialysis (HD).

Licensure/Certification/Listing:

• Required: Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Certification (CCHT) certification, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
