Haywood Regional is seeking a Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) to join the Acute Dialysis team. You will perform dialysis treatments for hospitalized patients using NxStage equipment and work with onsite nursing staff and remote RNs via telehealth.

Qualifications

Summary

Position Overview: Haywood Regional is seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) to join the Acute Dialysis team. This position provides dialysis treatments for hospitalized patients utilizing NxStage equipment in a collaborative environment supported by both onsite nursing staff and remote dialysis RNs via telehealth.

This role offers guaranteed weekly hours, a consistent schedule, and the opportunity to work independently while maintaining strong clinical support.

Schedule & Call Requirements

• Guaranteed 36-hour workweek
• Typically 3 shifts per week and every other weekend
• Shifts may range from 512 hours depending on patient census
• If no patients are scheduled, technician remains on-call for the scheduled shift and receives full pay for the day
• On-Call is 7pm 5am (10 hours) Mon Fri and 24 hours of On-Call on Sunday
• Call compensation provided (hourly call rate)

• Medication administration is limited to saline per facility protocol
• All other medications are administered by floor nursing staff
• Clinical support provided by both onsite RN staff and remote dialysis RNs
