Responsibilities

• Dialysis Registered Nurses care for patients with kidney disease.
• Assess patients prior to dialysis treatment.
• Monitor vital signs during dialysis.
• Administer and chart prescribed dialysis medications.
• Evaluate vascular access and determine fluid volumes to be removed.
• Perform hemodialysis treatments in accordance with facility policies.
• Monitor the patient during dialysis and respond to any changes.
• Document all dialysis-related medications and care.
