Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Wilkes-Barre is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse to deliver and supervise patient care on the medical unit under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing/Charge Nurse. The RN will plan, coordinate, and teach patients and families for post-hospitalization, including discharge planning and community resource access.

Experience with dialysis treatments for acute or chronic kidney failure is required/preferred; ACLS may be required for Charge

Qualifications

• RN license in the state you are applying.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment.
• ACLS is REQUIRED from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU.
• Certification through the NNCC is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct and supervise care for patients admitted to the unit.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• May perform other related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities.
