Job summary

Merit Health Vicksburg is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care through all phases of the nursing process in an acute care setting. The RN will coordinate and deliver high-quality care, collaborate with physicians and other nurses, and participate in education for patients and families.

Qualifications include RN licensure and 0–2 years of clinical experience, with BCLS required and ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure in good standing (state/compact licencia)
• BCLS, ACLS/PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies, including CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
