Dialysis Clinic, Inc. seeks a licensed RN to join as a float nurse serving Cullman, Decatur, and Moulton. You will cover vacations and leaves, traveling between clinics within a 40-mile radius with mileage stipends. Home base is the nearest clinic to your residence, and you must be able to work every other Saturday.

Qualifications

• Accredited nursing degree required.
• Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dialysis machine, alarms, and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards.
• Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures.
• Ongoing patient education, training and health coaching.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families.
• Administer and chart all prescribed medications.
• Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations.
• Participate in patient care conferences, rounds and chart reviews.
• Document required patient education efforts.
• Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals.
• Assist in medication inventory maintenance.
• Lead a small patient care team.
• Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed.
• Additional tasks as requested.

A Dialysis Registered Nurse (float) provides specialized nursing care at one of DCI’s in-center hemodialysis units as part of a patient care team. Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes are prioritized for every patient.

This is a float position for Cullman, Decatur, and Moulton. This position will float RN to work between our five locations; all clinics are within a 40-mile radius of each other. This RN would cover vacations, FMLA, resignations, etc. The home location would be the one closest to your home; you will receive mileage and work stipend when you travel to the other locations. You must be able to work every other Saturday.

Schedule: Full-time, four 10-hour shifts starting at 5am; Sundays off; no overnight shifts

Compensation: Pay ranges from $30-$36 per hour, depending on nursing and dialysis experience; Mileage and alternate work stipend given when working in location other than home location.
