Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is hiring for a full-time dialysis patient care technician. You will work under RN supervision to set up and monitor dialysis treatment, record vital signs, and educate patients through a 120‑day education plan.

Training is provided on site, with Sundays off and a supportive mission‑driven culture. Candidates should communicate well, collaborate with care teams, and solve problems in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
  • CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.
  • DCI provides a 3‑month comprehensive education program, including classroom sessions and one‑on‑one skills training.
  • Dialysis experience not required; job shadow opportunities available.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
  • Guide new patients through a 120‑day education plan.
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
  • Work under RN supervision.
  • Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
  • Insert and remove patient access needles.
  • Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of concerns.
  • Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
  • Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
  • Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
  • Maintain and track inventory.
  • Perform laboratory work.

Schedule

Full‑time shifts: four 10‑hour shifts starting at 5:00 a.m.; Sundays off; no overnight shifts.

Compensation

Pay range depends on healthcare experience; experience not required.
