Job summary

Concerto Renal Services is seeking a Dialysis Technician to join its team in Illinois. The role supports the hemodialysis care team and works under a licensed nurse to provide safe dialysis therapy in accordance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.

You will perform direct patient care, monitor vitals, operate dialysis machines, document treatments, and ensure a clean, safe environment while delivering excellent service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Dialysis Technician role essential to provide safe, effective dialysis care under supervision.
• Experience with clinical protocols and patient care is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care under licensed nurse supervision, initiating and discontinuing dialysis per orders.
• Monitor and document vitals, weight, and vascular access; report anomalies.
• Set up, operate, and safety-check dialysis machines; administer heparin as allowed by state law.
• Document treatment details accurately and prepare lab specimens as prescribed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and deliver excellent patient service.

Concerto is seeking a Dialysis Technician to join its team! The Dialysis Technician functions as part of the hemodialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients. Works under the supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with Concerto’s policies, procedures, and training and in compliance with regulations set for by state and federal agencies.

What Will You Do?

1. Direct Patient Care
   Provides hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments per prescribed orders
2. Vital Signs & Monitoring
   Obtains and documents pre- and post-treatment vitals, weight, and vascular access assessments, reporting any unusual findings to the nurse.
3. Dialysis Machine Operation Sets up, operates, and performs safety checks on hemodialysis machines; administers heparin aspermitted by state law.
4. Documentation & Lab Work
   Accurately documents patient treatment details and prepares laboratory specimens as prescribed.
5. Customer Service & Environment Delivers excellent service to patients, families, and staff, while maintaining a clean and safe workenvironment.
