Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Tempe, AZ is seeking a dialysis patient care technician to join our clinical team. Under supervision, you will support safe dialysis treatments, monitor patient status, operate dialysis machines, and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients.

You will work with licensed nurses to implement care plans, perform baseline vital signs, document treatment data, and ensure infection control and CQI goals are met.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification/licensure required.
• All state licensure, education, and training as required.
• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training applicable direct care staff under supervision of a nurse.
• Set up and operate dialysis machines and monitor parameters.
• Take pre/post treatment vital signs and weights, document results.
• Evaluate patient condition during treatment and report changes to nurse.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and infection control practices.
• Enter treatment data into designated clinical application accurately and timely.
• Assist with transition care and coordination with other staff as needed.
• Support adherence to CQI activities and QA programs.
