Job summary

Dialyze Direct in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Full Time Dialysis Technician to provide high-quality dialysis care at day shift. The role requires quick, independent thinking and a patient-centered approach.

The technician must hold a valid CCHT/CHT certification (and related DT certification where mandated by state), have a valid driver’s license, and BLS certification. This position is safety sensitive and requires lifting up to 35 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CCHT/CHT certification required in OH/MD/KY as applicable per state rules.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up dialysis machines prior to treatment sessions.
• Initiate and terminate dialysis treatments following policies, including accessing vascular access.
• Monitor and accurately document treatment data in the medical record.
• Reinforce training and education from other healthcare team members.
• Adhere to quality control procedures under RN supervision.
• Provide patient care with compassion and professionalism, without discrimination.
• Ensure informed consent is obtained and documented before procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

• Full Time (Monday - Friday)
• Day shift only

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up dialysis machines prior to treatment sessions.
• Initiate and terminate dialysis treatments in accordance with established policies and procedures, which may include:
  • Accessing temporary vascular access
  • Cannulating permanent vascular access
  • Administering anticoagulants, topical anesthetics, or normal saline (as permitted by local regulations)
• Monitor and accurately document patient treatment data in the medical record.
• Reinforce training and educational content as provided by other healthcare team members.
• Adhere to approved quality control procedures when assisting with hemodialysis treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Provide patient care with compassion, professionalism, and without discrimination.
• Ensure that informed consent is obtained and properly documented prior to initiating procedures.
• Collaborate and assist other healthcare team members as needed or requested .
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed by supervisory staff.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid CCHT or CHT certification
• In the states of Ohio, Maryland, and Kentucky, a valid Dialysis Technician (DT) certification is also required in addition to the CCHT/CHT
• Valid driver's license and transportation
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association Required); and
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required
• This is a safety sensitive position
