Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Newark is seeking a dedicated dialysis technician to join our health care team. You will assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patient response to therapy, and help maintain a safe, clean treatment environment under supervision.

Responsibilities include patient education on adequacy measures, monitoring vital signs, preparing and documenting treatment data, and supporting CQI activities to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to assist with hemodialysis treatment under supervision.
• Accurate documentation and completion of treatment sheets.
• Ability to monitor patients and respond to changes per physician orders.
• Strong infection control practices compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient education on adequacy measures (OLC, AMP, UKM).
• Welcome patients and monitor wellbeing between treatments.
• Perform vascular access evaluation and cannulation as delegated.
• Initiate dialysis and monitor response to therapy.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and document all actions.
