Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Santa Rosa, CA, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT/CCHT) to join the dialysis health care team. You will support safe and effective dialysis treatment under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse and help maintain a clean, safe environment.

The role includes monitoring vital signs, assisting cannulation, operating dialysis machines, documenting treatment data, and participating in CQI activities to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required and CMS/state licensure as applicable.
• CPR certification and basic patient-care competencies required.
• Previous patient care experience in hospital or dialysis settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patency evaluation and cannulation under nurse supervision.
• Operate and monitor dialysis machines and record treatment data.
• Monitor vital signs and weight, document results, and report changes to the RN.
• Maintain clean, safe patient areas and equipment; adhere to infection control policies.
