Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dialysis patient care technician to support safe and effective dialysis treatments in a clinical setting. Under licensed nurse supervision, you will assist with machine setup, cannulation, and monitoring of patients during therapy, while documenting vital signs and treatment data and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS-approved state licensure requirements must be met within the required state CMS timeline.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous patient care experience in a hospital or related facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines and monitor treatment parameters.
• Cannulate vascular access, monitor vital signs, and document treatment data.
• Assess patient wellbeing during treatment and respond to adverse events as directed.
• Maintain infection control and prepare/organize supplies for treatments.
• Educate patients on adequacy measures and post-treatment care under supervision.
