Job summary

University Health is seeking an Executive Director of Dialysis Services to oversee the administration and clinical direction of all dialysis programs within the system, including renal clinics, inpatient and outpatient dialysis, home dialysis, and jail dialysis services.

Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will work with Medical Directors to plan growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive patient-centered care across multiple sites in San Antonio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years as a clinical nurse supervisor or director in dialysis services; multi-system leadership preferred.
• Current RN license (Texas); AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or Instructor card required.
• Strong leadership and excellent communication skills; bilingual in Spanish/English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical dialysis services across multiple sites to ensure high-quality care and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise and mentor a team of clinical and support staff; lead staff development and recruitment.
• Manage operational and capital budgets to support efficient resource use and organizational goals.
• Develop and update clinical and administrative policies to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Represent dialysis services in community and professional forums; act as liaison with the Medical Directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Oversee the clinical services across multiple dialysis sites to ensure high-quality care in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Human Resources: Supervise and mentor a team of clinical and support staff. You will play a key role in staff development, recruitment, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Budget and Planning: Manage operational and capital budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources while meeting organizational goals.
• Policy and Procedures: Develop and update clinical and administrative policies to ensure ongoing compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Community Relations: Act as a liaison between University Health and the community, representing our dialysis services in various professional and public forums.

Qualifications
