Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN/LVN) for direct patient care in a dialysis setting. You will perform dialysis procedures, monitor treatments, and educate patients and families under RN supervision.

The role requires flexibility to cover shifts, CPR certification, and completion of the Nurses Technical Training Program. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for patient-centered care in a busy facility.

Qualifications

• One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
• ICU experience preferred but not required.
• Successfully complete CPR Certification.
• Must complete the Nurses Technical Training Program upon hire or soon thereafter.
• Ability to provide coverage at area facilities during times of short-staffing or as required.
• Employees must meet Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patient(s).
• Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures for assigned patients as prescribed.
• Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on dialysis flow sheets.
• Responsible for reporting any significant information or changes to the supervisor.
• Assist in developing and following the teaching plan for patient and family.
• Initiate basic CPR measures and respond to emergencies related to dialysis.
• Participate in staff meetings and coordinate care with the Physician/Dietitian/Social Worker.
