Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Biomedical Technician to maintain and repair dialysis and water treatment equipment across our kidney care clinics. You will train staff on maintenance and ensure safety for dialysis patients while managing medical supplies.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year related experience.
• Experience in mechanical/automotive/construction, dialysis, or medical technical settings preferred.
• Manual dexterity to use common hand tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems.
• Maintains the physical plant, as directed.
• Ensures outside vendor services are completed per contract.
• Purchases and retains an inventory of service parts.
• Performs, evaluates, and reports water/dialysate sample collection and actions.
• Documents all repairs and maintenance activity.
• Assists in planning and installing biomedical equipment for safe operation.
• Transports equipment as needed with supervisor consent.
• Participates in monthly technical and regulatory meetings.
• Collaborates with facility staff to meet OSHA requirements.
• Manages inventory and costs, including receiving and distributing deliveries.
• Performs verification and monitoring of staff testing of water systems.
• Completes required training programs per state/federal regulations and policy.
• Provides scheduled after-hours technical on-call coverage.
