Dialysis Chronic Care Registered Nurse
Title: Dialysis Chronic Care Registered Nurse (RN). This position requires 12 months or more of recent dialysis experience.
Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $20.00/hr

This position is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients. This may include delegation of appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff including but not limited to RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians. As a member of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) health care team, this position participates in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations.
Direct patient care with heavy lifting and moving of patients; frequent standing and bending. May move equipment up to 200 lbs with assistance; may lift chemical and water solutions up to 30 lbs to heights up to 5 feet. Work environment typical of a health care facility with controlled temperature and moderate noise. Potential exposure to infectious materials. Travel to training sites or other facilities may be required. Ishihara color blindness testing is required; reasonable accommodations considered.
Oversee Patient Care Technicians/LPNs/LVNs/RNs as a Team Leader or Nurse in Charge after meeting training requirements and having: a minimum of 9 months RN experience and a minimum of 3 months chronic/acute hemodialysis RN experience.
1 year of Nephrology nursing experience in the last two years as an RN; chronic hemodialysis experience required.
Floating requirement: Candidates may float to area sites within 50 miles of the main site.
Shift details: Shifts discussed during interview; role requires 40 hours plus overtime and floating as needed. There is a minimum guarantee of 36 hours per week. Not eligible for guaranteed hours if schedule requests/restrictions, refusal to float, lateness, leaving early, calling out, or planned time off.
