Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dialysis technician trainee to join the health care team under RN supervision, responsible for setting up and operating hemodialysis machines and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

The role includes patient education, monitoring treatment, and ensuring accurate documentation. Competitive hourly pay between $18 and $29, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for CQI involvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS-approved state licensure, education, and training required.
• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Successful completion of dialysis training program.
• CPR certification or attainment during training.

Responsibilities

• Assist other health care members in patient education regarding adequacy measures and dialysis procedures.
• Assist during dialysis treatment, monitor vital signs and equipment, document treatment data.
• Maintain infection control and ensure a safe, clean work environment; operate dialysis machines per orders.
• Document treatment information accurately and report changes to the RN or supervisor.
• Support transitional care and coordination with other staff to ensure patient understanding of options and home dialysis.
