Job summary

Satellite Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician Trainee to learn direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The trainee will learn how to perform the hemodialysis treatment according to Satellite and the local center's policies and procedures.

The care that will be taught will include taking and monitoring patient vital signs, performing blood tests, documenting appropriate patient information, preparing and monitoring dialysis equipment, and cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of medical experience preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• BONENT/NNCC/NNCO certification required within 18 months from hire date.
• CDPH CHT certification (CA locations only) required within 18 months from hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Learn how to perform hemodialysis treatment according to Satellite policies.
• Take and monitor patient vital signs, perform blood tests, document patient information.
• Prepare and monitor dialysis equipment, and clean equipment.
