Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CMS-approved state licensure requirements as applicable.
• CPR certification required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Welcome assigned patients and inquire about wellbeing since last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency and perform cannulation as delegated.
• Obtain pre/post-treatment vital signs and weight; document findings.
• Initiate dialysis per orders including QB and QD settings.
• Monitor response to dialysis and address intradialytic issues per orders.
• Document Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet with patient identifiers and data.
• Ensure safety alarms are enabled and perform machine safety checks.
• Report significant changes to the registered nurse or supervisor.
