Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dialysis patient care technician to support safe and effective hemodialysis therapy under licensed nurse supervision. The role involves setup and operation of dialysis machines, patient assessment, and documentation of treatment data in accordance with regulatory standards.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, prior patient care experience in a hospital or similar setting, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility is preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• CMS/state or national certification requirements must be met within the required state or CMS timeline.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate dialysis machines and initiate treatment per prescribed orders.
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient status, and respond to adverse events during dialysis.
• Record treatment parameters, dialysate flow, and UF goals on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure a safe, clean care environment.
