Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Fresno, CA is seeking a patient care technician to join the dialysis team under RN supervision. You will assist with setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patients, and help maintain a safe, clean treatment environment.

Expect to perform pre- and post-treatment checks, document vital signs, weight, and treatment data, and support CQI activities. A high school diploma and state certification requirements apply; CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification within required state or CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing patient care and monitoring during dialysis under supervision.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and assist cannulation; manage heparin per delegated or state requirements.
• Record vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters.
• Prepare and operate dialysis machines according to prescribed orders.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and infection control per facility policy.
• Support education and staff training as directed.
