Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification within the required state.
• All state licensure, education, and training required.
• Previous patient care experience in a hospital or related facility preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines and monitor patients during treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access, cannulate, and administer heparin as delegated or allowed by state law.
• Record vital signs, treatment data, and document accurately; report changes to the RN or supervisor.
• Maintain infection control and ensure safe, clean treatment areas.
• Provide education and support to patients regarding treatment and home dialysis options as appropriate.
